We are drug free and an EOE by choice.Project ManagementManage and control construction project and direct on-site Superintendent to ensure completion pursuant to specifications, schedule and budget.Manage operations, schedule and budget.Continuously improve cost controls.Maximize employee performance, customer satisfaction and compliance with laws, rules, regulations and standards.Manage financial aspects of project to protect client and company interests including budgets, owner’s reports, fee payments, rental equipment, change orders, income and expenses.Review and approve plans and specifications, variance reports, payment requests and schedules.Guide and supervise technicians and outside consultants.Project AdministrationManage construction contracts, progress schedules and payments, purchase orders, extra work orders, change orders, contractor claims and owner acceptance.Resolve contractor claims and field problems. Prepare contracts, documents, correspondence, memorandums, reports and agenda items.Maintain and manage all permits, plan reviews, field inspections, reports and other documents.Coordinate project construction with contractors, client, government agencies, and the companys management.Prepare documentation for new development including applications and requests for information forms.Estimate Substation/Industrial electric work.LeadershipEvaluate project progress and team performance to ensure completion on schedule and within budget.Coordinate, manage and supervise the work of subordinate project managers and support staff. Provide support, direction and encourage training of subordinate team members.Represent the company in project meetings.Participate in the development and implementation of policy and operational procedures.Strategy and PlanningPerform the final review of internal items such as cost analysis worksheets, monthly billing to owner, master cost breakdown, general conditions estimate, labor cost report and monthly reports.Coordinate the preparation of schedules and long term planning.Prepare reports and analyses to monitor work and budget progressEducation and/or Experience: Four year degree in engineering or construction management or equivelant hands-on experience and knowledge.Ten years related experience and/or training in construction, electrical utilities and substations.Knowledge of contract administration and enforcement techniquesFamiliarity with government agency regulations and construction codes.Bilingual in Spanish if possible. |
