From six neighborhood locations and from 32 school campuses, we provide high quality service in English and Spanish to the residents of 11 counties of all ethnic and racial backgrounds and all socio-economic levels. We are a private, non-profit, non-sectarian agency funded by the United Way. We are currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

Personal Care Assistant

In this compassionate, people-oriented role, you will help individuals and families improve their lives and strengthen their communities. You will review and follow the Individual Service Plan developed by the Coordinator, and provide patient population (adults with disabilities and seniors) with home care/housekeeping, personal care, grooming, meal planning/preparation and errands. You will accurately complete and submit in a timely manner all daily/weekly service delivery reports, time sheets, mileage records and incident reports. Other duties will be assigned.

Qualifications:
• Documented evidence of status on the Texas Department of Health nurse aide registry with no findings of service recipient abuse or neglect, or misappropriation of service recipient property
• 1+ year's experience in direct service recipient care in an institutional setting
• 1+ year’s of full-time experience within the last 5 years in direct patient care in a home health or institutional setting
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable
• All prospective employees must meet pre-employment requirements
• State of Texas driver’s license and proof of liability insurance
